hi there,

I'm wondering if there is a direct flight from Uzbekistan to Iran. I only have a couple of weeks and I really want to make the most of them. I'm considering skipping entirely Turkmenistan since it takes so much time to issue a damn transit visa.

Iran Air flies Tashkent-Tehran on Fridays only. No idea how much it is though.

Expensive.
In the $500 - $600 range, one way. Try 'OPODO' if the Iran Air website has no pricing.
I was looking at that route as well to avoid the Turkmenistan transit visa hassle. I could find no other airline or route.
Try looping through Afghanistan. Cross from Termez to Mazar, fly to Herat, bus to Mashad. The Afghan visa is easy to get. Mazar and Herat are relatively quiet.
