Uzbek tourist visa from Osh

Unfortunately, this is impossible. Uzbek visa cannot be received on the border, only in Embassy in Bishkek. Another option is Tashkent airport, possible with LOI only.

What I actually meant was not getting the visa at the border (I know that's not possible), but I was thinking if there was a way, for example through travel agencies, to get the visa without necessairly going to Bishkek in person.
Do you know if such a way exists here in Osh?

About Tashkent airport: I read somewhere that you can get visa on arrival with LOI only if there is no Uzbek embassy in the country you are flying from. Do you know otherwise?

There are no such agencies there, so you should come in person to the embassy for your visa. As for Tashkent Airport, sometimes MFA approves LOI for the airport for residents of those countries where Uzbek mission exists, we justify such request by the absence of time of the tourist to collect visa in his country of residence due to... hard work/travelling/smth like that. But MFA doesn't like it and we try to avoid this.

Dear Gabri anyway if you want to get Visa on arrival in Airport or in Bishkek, you need LOI. And I can say that you have to be ready to face with Uzbekistan embassy in Bishkek, first you have to call them and make the appointment (according to your reference number, which you can get with LOI), only after this you can get your Visa. Airport option is not the simple one. If you are from the country where Uzbekistan Embassy exists you have to provide some papers why you are not able to get Visa in your country.

Thank you all guys! So, we will try to work it out from Bishkek. One we get to the embassy with LOI and appointment, do you know how long it takes to get a tourist visa? I read different information, someone says same day, someone says several.

our tourists reported the same - sometimes it took a couple of hours, sometimes - a couple of days, so it depends..

Dear Gabri, it depends on your LOI status, if you have Urgent LOI - you will get Visa the same day, if you have Usual LOI - it will take 1..2 days to get the Visa.
