is the road beetween Samarcand and pendjikent is open for foreigners?i mean,will i be able to cross the border on this road?(i ll be there in july).
Is it better to go to Denau for Tursanzade?
if yes,WHY?

The border post between Samarcand and Penjikent is close since a long time now.
It's better to go to Denau for Tursanzade because this one is open...
Crossing an open border post is always better in this part of the World...

Michel is right and not better, but the best way, otherwise there might be serious problems.

Other possibility is border on the road from Tashkent and Kujand near Buston.
I done it this way.
Road from Khujand to Dushambe is really hard, but amazing.
if you have spare day rent jeap and make stopower on Iskendrum Lake in Fan Mointains where is turbaza with basic acomodation and food.
