Oldest Koran in the world - where is it exactly?

As some posts indicate, Khast Imam sq has been totally overhauled over the last two or three years. There is a GIANT new mosque out front on Karasavay St (roughly parallel to Zarkaynar St). The giant mosque is flanked by two towering 50+ meter minarets. If you walk or take a taxi up Karasavay St, it's really hard to miss it. Zarkaynar has been diverted and now passes behind the old medressa (which is now given over to souvenir shops; the grand Mufti moved to another building nearby. The library where the Quran resides now sits basically in the middle of a massive square behind Giant Mosque. Once you get there you'll find it easily enough. This area is off the LP map so just pick up a city map at any bookstore or hotel when you get there and you'll locate it easily enough.

Sorry I meant Karasaray St, not Karasavay. That map posted by #9 is pretty good, as it depicts all the buildings I refer to as well as the sprawling Khast Imom sq.
