Night Train from Nukus to Samarkand

Hi There,

We will be travelling through Uzbekistan next month (March) and have found conflicting information regarding the night trains from Nukus to Samarkand so were hoping somebody could clear it up for us please. On realrussia.co.uk and dbbahn.de the only train they show is the 15:32 , however some websites show on the timetable the #322 leaving on Tuesday's at 19:10 which is the one we would prefer to catch as we'll be travelling up from Darvaza in Turkmenistan that day. Is this an out of date timetable so we should aim for the 15:32 train instead of continuing to search for the fabled actually leaving at night time night train?

Hi,

I'm not sure where the best place on the net to look up train schedules for Uzbekistan is. When I was in Nukus - a few years ago - there were only something like 3 or 4 trains a week to Samarkand. Certainly there weren't trains everyday. The train I took left Nukus sometime in the afternoon, and got to Samarkand in the wee hours of the morning, at something like 4 or 5am.

Hi queenmullet,
As I see on official website of Uzbekistan Railways train from Kungrad to Tashkent (#53) leaves every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 08:51. It will be in Nukus in about 2 hours and I'm pretty sure will pass Samarkand.

Tomorrow I'll try to reach call center of central station (today they don't operate) and clarify once more.

That would be great thank you so much Cibron - we are travelling on late afternoon\evening Tuesday March 10th if they need that. So the 8:51am from Kujand would be too early for us to get to from Darvaza. The official Uzbek website route planner won't work for me unfortunately, which link are you using please?

So, just called to railway support and confirmed info, you have following options:

#53 Kungrad (08:53) - Nukus (11:10) - Samarkant - Tashkent [Each TUE, THU, SUN];
#322 Nukus (15:30) - Samarkand - Almaty - Tashkent [Only TUE]
