I read about the increase in the entrance fee ticket prices. People also warn the travellers to Uzbekistan to be wary of being caught in the tourist trap of getting overcharged. So please give me an update on the current monuments and museum entrance fee and camera charges. I need updates of Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Shakhresabz.
Please try to update in detail as this would help all the people travelling to this wonderful country.
Thanks!

sounds like a good idea. to me 25 $ is very good price for day. I don't remember this idea been kicked around on TT. How many hours exactly would this "one day" be. 6, 4 or 8 hrs? are these guides liscenced? where to get one? Is there a tourist office? any numbers
Sorry, I don't to mean to Hijack the post or divert it away from the Hina's main questions. I hope it is OK with him/her for me to ask such question
thanks

Hello hina- I've been on two adventure tours to this region and am now in the process of planning the third for a party of four. The best advice I can offer is to speak with a reliable travel agency. We have always used East-Site Travel. They are absolutely wonderful, very patient and helpful and up to date on all the related issues for travel to the five stans. They stay current on entrance fees, current events for the local area, and have all the answers, plus they are just the nicest people to deal with. Central Asia is a delight and these people really know their stuff. They have offices in the US as well as in Central Asia, and I think they have a branch in Austrailia too. Excellent English speaking, which is such a big help, and they really want people to have the time of their lives on the tours.

hina- I agree with rocketworld. East-Site Travel are very helpful and professional but super friendly. They are excellent at returning calls and providing information. They will definitely know about any entrance fee rates. These people are experts on organizing a smooth travel experience and they handle everything for you except packing! and they even have some thoughts and suggestions on that, if you ask! We arranged a couple of very exciting tours that included visiting monuments and other tourist sites as well as doing some really fun things that you could not expect to do on other travel tours. You can check out their website, it is nicely done and will give you some good ideas. Dont be shy contacting them, because they speak excellent English and are all about making travel to Central Asia fun and easy.
