Hi,

Does anyone have experience obtaining a Iran or a Pakistan visa in Tashkent-Uzbekistan or any other stan-country? How long does the process take?

Many thanks

Mehmet

You can't get a visa for Pakistan anywhere outside your home country.

To get a visa for Iran, you firstly need authorisation from Tehran. This takes 6 to 10 working days. Find an online travel agent based in Iran who can help you with this. As part of the process of applying for that, you nominate any consulate you choose to pick up the visa. So you might apply for authorisation while travellling and nominate the consulate in a country in a future destination to collect your visa. With the authorisation, it might take one or two days to get the visa. Find out more in the Iranian branch.

Agreed and agreed. You will not get a Pakistani visa outside your home country. And it doesn't matter where you get the Iranian visa as the approval is via Tehran.

Not sure if this is much help or not, but an Aussie lady we travelled with got her Iran visa in Bishkek, Kgz. She had her authorization number and only needed a new photo (covering her hair), applied in the afternoon and picked up the next day. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful.
