How do I get an Uzbek visa with no embassy in my home country?
I have got my LOI for Uzbekistan, but the embassy web site (London) says that I have to contact the embassy before sending my passport, and that I have to pay the fee when picking up the passport!
I get no answers for my emails to the embassy, and do not know how to proceed.

I am a swedish citizen living in Stockholm and it is not an option for me to travel to London just for getting the visa.

Hi Mats,

You could apply the VISA at the Uzbek embassy of Madrid (Spain) and send the passport and LOI by courier. They speak English at the embassy.

It should take about 2 weeks to get the VISA.

Another option is to get it arrival at Tashkent airport.

Good luck!!!

It's a pain that you have to show off at many embassies to get your visa.
For this case there are agencies like Servisum in Berlin. You can send your passport to them and they will handle it for you. But: it's not for free. I used Servisum to get my Chinese Visa in 2006, it worked out well.

Cheers, Bernd
