Current on-going Som rate in black market?

Hi all,

I am traveling to Tashkent in 2 weeks and know the rough official rate against US Dollar is about 2200 Som per USD.

Could someone who just got out of Uzbekistan tell me the on-going black market rate?

I think thats the black market rate and a not too bad one.
I never checked when there but I was told the official rate was about 1550.
Black market was 2100-2200....just watch that if you pay hotels in dollars they use a rate that is reasonable.... one bigger hotel tried to use a rate of 2300 x 50 for $50 which is way over the official rate....so got them to change to my unofficial rate :-)

I'm in Uzbekistan since two weeks, and 2100 is definitely the usual rate, although 2200 is possible sometimes.

A side note: bring only new dollar notes, and never accept old ones, as they won't be accepted.
