Hi,
I'm planning a week of travel to Uzbekistan. My flight should depart from Tashkent at 6:30 and I've read that it is needed to arrive 3 hours prior the departure for international flights (this means at 3:30).
Is it worth to sleeping in terminal arriving in the late evening? Paying a room in Tashkent for few hours during the night seems useless.

Thanks

I am not sure, but I doubt you would be allowed to enter the airport too early under the current climate. It's a fairly small airport...

The airport is open throughout the night as many flights arrive early in the am.

I would just stay awake in the common area of your hotel and then go to the airport around 2am.

Usually situation is different. The reason why you have to come 3 hours before, because of the checks. It also depends on time, sometime they check everything like registration cards from the hotels and other things. You can try to go to the Airport earlier and maybe they will let you in.

Checking out of your hotel at noon and storing your bags and then trying to kill 18.5 hours before your flight, including 7-9 hours at the airport (if they let you in) doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. Why not keep the hotel room and get 5 hours or so of sleep that night and then leave the hotel at 3 a.m.? Paying a daily rate for 15 hours of access to a hotel room is not a waste of money in my opinion.
