Monyaq or the actual seashore ?
There is a real difference...
Starting from Nukus is more realistic.

Am not sure but most tours bring you to Monyaq? Can we see the seashore near there?
It's impossible to see the actual seashore from Monyaq.
It should be something that 100 kilometers far away.
You can reach Monyaq by yourself, it's easy.

I don't see any reason why do you need to use a tour to go to Monyaq.

Also planning to visit Aral for a long time (living in Uzbekistan). But can say exactly closer to summer.
It's better to take a car (shared) and guide and drive stright to the seashore. There is no sea in Muynaq (but can see ships cemetery).

We are also planning to do a trip to the Aral Sea, will have 10 days in UZ, so would have 2 days for the trip. Any tips as to where to go? I understand from the above, we just take a shared taxi to Muynaq on our own, and then look for a tour to the shore? How to reach the ship cemetery in Muynaq?
Any help is much appreciated!

i will arr in nukus 10:00 am mon 4 may and was told that the first day of the 2-day excursion will be 9 hrs -- so am looking for 3 others to share in the costs of this trip for may 4 - 5....
