we are a mixed couple with German / Hongkong passport.
Does anybody know how it works to apply the Uzbek via at their Tehran embassy?
How long does it take, how many visits are necessary?
Same question is for the Turkmenistan transit visa.

Applying in Tehran is easy - if you have LOIs. Actually, as German national you can get Uzbek visa without LOI, but in your country of origin. LOI speeds up the process. Hong Kong citizen must have LOI for Uzbek visa. Here the process of LOI issuance takes 7-8 days, and 1-2 days to collect the visa in Tehran. Sometimes tourists can get the visa in a couple of hours even.
For Turkmenistan transit visa you should apply to TM Embassy, and show the visas of "to" and "from" countries.
