Wakhan trekking

Hi

I'm heading to northern Afghanistan in my 4x4, planning to get there late spetember / early october. I am interested in trekking in the Wakhan Valley, or at least exploring parts (if it is possible) by 4x4. I have one spare seat. Is anyone interested in joing me for the trip, sharing costs etc. I plan perhaps to make a 3 day trek or so, if I can find details of a local guide.

Also, has anyone had recent experience of obtaining the necessary permits / letters to enter the Wakhan and Pamir areas?
