Uzbekistan embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Country forums / Central Asia / Uzbekistan

I picked up a Uzbekistan visa this week from the Uzbek embassy in Abu Dhabi. The whole process took less than an hour (waiting in line took 45 minutes) with a letter of invite, a completed application (go here http://evisa.mfa.uz/ to fill it in beforehand), one photo, one photocopy of your passport details and 315 UAE Dirhams for a 30-day single-entry visa (Canadian passport). Their website is very informative and located here: http://www.uzbekembassy.net/

The location of the embassy is in Al Moroor off 25th St in between East Coast Road and Airport Road. There is a sign on 25th St with "Embassy of Republic of Uzbekistan".

The gentleman at the front desk speaks excellent English and is very helpful. When I first called them about visas they mentioned that it was possible to get a tourist visa without an LOI but it would take 10 business days. With the LOI, they will print out the visa sticker and stamp it while you wait. Overall, my best embassy experience in the Middle East with some very helpful and accommodating staff.

Cheers...

Thanks for the Info. The web site does not seem to work at all. There are tabs or icons to click. Am I missing something?
Thanks again

It looks like the link is dead now, try adding "index.htm" or just use this address:
