Official status of B&B's in BukharaCountry forums / Central Asia / Uzbekistan
Could anyone tell me if B&B's in Bukhara are considered "official hotels", i.e., are they able to provide customs documentation at the end of your stay, or do you have to take other measures to cover for the time you spend there?
your passport will be regıstered. no problems. | 1
I had no problems a couple of months ago. No one wanted my OVIR registrations when I left the country. I carried them for a month for nothing. | 2
I agree with both of the above. I had no problems regarding paperwork/registration whilst staying in a Bukhara B&B. They took care of it all. | 3
Hi, Some B&B's in Bukhara have registration, but there are others which don't. You have to ask at the B&B and see. However, I know some people who were told their guesthouse had registration when they checked in, only to discover that there was in fact no registration when they checked out. If you're worried about being registered, make sure you get your slips when you check-in. I think the information above is misleading: there are certainly un-official guesthouses operating in Bukhara, and there is always a possibility in Uzbekistan (even if it's small) that you will wind up in trouble for not collecting your registration slips. All official B&Bs in Uzbekistan register their guests in a big book when you check in, then give a small slip to you as proof of registration. So if they don't do this, just look for another hotel. | 5
