Kyrgyzstan without visa - bribes instead

Country forums / Central Asia / Kyrgyzstan

Has anyone tried to get from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzsan without Kyrgystan visa? Is it possible? I am going to visit Uzbekistan on May (I will have double entry Uzbek visa) and I would like to visit Kyrgystan also - but only if it is possible to get there without visa. I can pay bribes instead. After visiting Kyrgystan I would get back to Tashkent in Uzbekistan where I have flight to Riga.

Do you think that it is impossible? I read about people who succesfully tried to pass visa requirement.

Don't listent to #1!!!!

Even if you managed to enter without a visa, how will you check into hotels? How will you exit the country? What happens when you get stopped by the police? Without question, of all my years on this forum, this is the single stupidest thing i have ever read!!!

Yes it is possible if you have a russian passport.

Why wouldnt you just pay for a visa? It will be cheaper than the bribes!!!!! Thats just crazy???

Number 1 is mischievous. He is Kazakh, and most CIS country nationals don't need visas to visit each other's countries. Also, under a 'blitateral agreement with the former Soviet Union', nationals of Cuba, DPRK and Vietnam can enter KG visa-free.

Under other agreements, citizens of Japan, Malaysia, Turkey, Ukraine and Mongolia can also enter KG without visas, albeit for varying periods. See details at http://www.mfa.kg/consular-service/citizens-no-visa-needed-2_en.html

To the original poster -- do you hold any of the above passports? If so, you can do better than announcing publicly your intention to bribe your way into the country in several posts.

I have a passport of Poland (It is mentioned in IV. paragraph - "IV. Перечень стран,
граждане которых могут получить въездные визы КР роком до одного месяца на основании личных обращений В соответствии с Постановлением Правительства КР №87 от 07.02.2009г. Об утверждении перечня иностранных государств, на граждан которых распространяется упрощенный визовый режим, граждане нижеперечисленных стран могут получить въездные визы КР в дипломатических представительствах и консульских учреждениях КР за рубежом, в также в консульском пункте в аэропорту «Манас» сроком до одного месяца на основании личных обращений")

Now I see that my question was stupid, but I've found some information about passing visa requirement and I just wanted to verify it. I don't want to buy visa because it's quite expensive and spendings on visa to additional country is over my budget (at the begnning I planned to go only to Uzbekistan)

Could anyone explain me what is a difference between getting a visa in normal mode and in the mode mentioned in IV paragraph (http://www.mfa.kg/consular-service/citizens-no-visa-needed-2_en.html) - especially if there is a difference in price of visa? At this website - http://www.kyrgyzstan.orexca.com/visa_kyrgyzstan.shtml - I found that citizens of Poland are free from visa procedures but information at this website may be not up to date.

Citizens of countries listed in section IV on that page are able to apply for visas WITHOUT visa support (such as a LOI or tour booking). They still need to make an application at a KG consulate and pay the relevant visa fee. People from all other countries (unless exempted as noted above) need visa support.

If you can't afford the visa, you can't afford to travel within the country.

Why to encourage illegal activities ?
