"day1 wednesday arrival early morning getting GBAO permit possible?" Possible...if you arrange it in advance | 1
hello, I don't know how I can arrange in advance, I read differents reports about this permit, it seems things changed in may this year for the visa and I hope to know more through travellers in June. I'll do my visa at the aeroport. | 2
Your intinerary looks good & timing very realistic. Your GBAO permit is easy to obtain on Wednesday morning. If you follow the advice on LP I reckon you can get it in 2 hours. For the first part of your trip - I live in Penjikent and can recommend trips for trekking in Fann mountains if you are interested. There are homestays in the lower valleys where you can stay if you prefer not to camp. In Zerafshan Tourism Board office in Penjikent they rent tents and sleeping bags, organise drivers, donkey handlers and can book accomodaiton. Staff speak English, so its worth popping into the office there. Website is a bit difficult to follow but there is some information about trekking. http://www.zerafshan.info/places/fan-mountains | 3
