Important Notice From Turkish Airlines
You may have heard rumours concerning strike action within Turkish Airlines. We are at present in discussion with the workers' union, and whilst these talks are continuing we have so far been unable to reach an agreement with them. According to union laws and regulations, the members of the union (Hava-Is) are due to officially give notice to Turkish Airlines management their intention to take strike action within days. This does not mean that strike action will take place on that date. This is simply the date that notice may be given to Turkish Airlines
During these negotiations all of our flights will operate as per normal schedule. We will, of course, continue to advise our passengers of any developments that may interrupt or affect our services.

More than 140 flights a day, this is quite serious in the middle of the high season.
Turkish Airlines is now ready to lockout in case of a strike.
And Goverment may step in to postpone the strike for six months.
Cross your fingers and wish the best.
July 25, 2007
Following the notice given to Turkish Airlines on 20 July 2007 by union members to take strike action, Turkish Airlines has responded by threatening to terminate their contracts should strike action take place. This decision is within our rights as an employer. Talks are still continuing with the union and Turkish Airlines strongly hope that neither of these drastic actions will take place.
During these negotiations all of our flights will still operate as per normal schedule. We will, of course, continue to advise our passengers of any developments that may interrupt or affect our services.
