flight Tashkent-Urgench? Wed 8 August

Hi

I will be arriving in Tashkent next week Wed 8 August at 3.30am and I'm planning to catch a flight to Urgench on the same morning. do you think it is ok to just turn up at the airport and buy a ticket there or would it be advisable to book in advance from Europe? would I get a better deal at the airport on the same day? any airlines to avoid or are they all part of Uzbekisan Airways anyway?

Also, as I'll be arriving at the international airport and I read there is now a separate domestic airport, does anyone know about distance and transport there?

And... what's the best way to travel from Urgench to Khiva? I'm a solo woman traveller.

You can buy this ticket online on ebookers.com - slightly more expensive than in Tashkent, but very convenient for the credit card payment etc.
