Current FX Rate (April 2015)

Was hoping someone might have current information on the "unofficial" (black market) USD/Som exchange rate. I have seen various figures before but most are a bit out of date and the USD has appreciated quite a bit lately. Thanks in advance!

4200 som to $US in Tashkent / 4000 som to $US in Samarkand sd if this week - yhese are the best rates we've found

Thanks! We just got back from our trip and converted at 4,000 CYM to USD in Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva with no issue. We did not convert in Tashkent. Cab driver at TAS between terminals tried to get us to convert at 3,000 CYM to USD.

*giod one - we got offeted 4285 in Bukhara - i said fine i'll change $2000 - suddenly he decided rate was onky 4000 - i had no intention to change 2000 knew he was just trying to get me into his shop :-)
