What is the most commonly used and practical currency in Tajikistan at the moment?

US Dollars, Russian Roubles, or Tajik currency? How should I bring my cash?

If you can bring Somoni - that would be what I'd do. But dollars are good too. Roubles can be exchanged to but USD would be preferred.

you can change EUR in all the exchange offices at th ecross rate EUR/USD

there are exchange places in Khojand and Dushanbe (I saw a lot- currently 1 USD to 3,47). Hotel Dushanbe has an ATM that lets you withdraw dollars or somani, although I think bringing somani is the best thing.
