Hey Guys!!

Was planning a trip through C.A and was hoping to stay in a yurt or two in the pamir mountains in Tajikistan. anyone know of any good places? I was hoping to get high up into some of the mountain plateaus. I've heard of META and PECTA but have no idea of what they're like so any help would be awesome.

Both organizations leave much to be desired. Service is crap and prices are high. But in this case, beggars can't be choosers. They will be able to arrange a yurt stay, although you'd be better off doing it in Kyrgyzstan as that's where they are actually from.

There are yurt stays in the Pamirs around Murghab and further east. The operators are Kyrgyz people, not Tajiks.

I suspect that if you turn up at any yurt with money, the place will quickly turn itself into a yurt-stay with meals.

There are a handful places along the Pamir Highway with signs out on the road advertising yurt-home stays.

If you travel with someone like http://www.pamirguides.com/ you'll frequently find yourself staying in yurts.

You didn't note when you are traveling. Folks only live in the yurts when they take their flocks to the pastures and leave for the village/city for the winter. When they come and go depends in part on the weather and also on the altitude. But not likely in most parts before May or after September.
