OK I looked in past threads but am still confused... Few websites including the US one state that you don't need an LOI for Tourist Visa at Dushanbe (http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1037.html#entry_requirements) I have a NZ passport.
But others like Caravanistan state that you do need it. Anybody had recent experiences? Or planing to go before July? Would like to find out as getting LOI is not that straight forward (or cheap!). It sounds like it will be simpler to send the passport to some embassy - will save waiting at the airport and also get GBAO at the same time.
