Just came back from a 9-day trip with them. I would have sent this by PM, but I guess LP eliminated the PM. Two recommendations, if you use Pamir Adventures-- (1) be very clear about the price and whether it includes their "service" fee (I was quoted a total price that, later come to find out, did not include an additional 10% service charge; that charge was, admittedly, buried in a single document they sent me, but it was at odds with the total quote in the text of their email), and (2) be clear about wanting an English-speaking guide. I had a drive who spoke very limited English. In retrospect, I would easily have paid a bit more for a truly English-speaking guide (since the car/fuel really makes up the vast bulk of the total cost). I missed out on being to able to ask questions about what we were seeing because my driver (though very nice) spoke almost as little English as I speak Russian (meaning a smattering of words).
