I will be visiting Central Asia starting 22nd May. I will be entering Tajikistan from Osh. There is no Tajik embassy in my country (Malaysia), and the only suitable place for me to get a Tajik visa & GBAO permit is in Bishkek. I need infos on:
1. How much is the visa fee and how many days needed to process it?
2. What are the requirements?
3. Do I need to leave my passport at the embassy during the processing time?
4. Can someone who has done the Pamir Highway recently tell me about the road condition? I will be riding my motorbike from Osh along M41 highway, and perhaps will divert a bit at Khargush Pass to go along Panj River to Ishkashim then to Khorog and rejoin the M41 to Dushanbe.\Thanks in advance

I am also interested in this question, specifically does having an LOI speed up the process? I've heard you can sometimes get the visa on the spot in Bishkek but is this with or without LOI?

The Tajik embassy in Bishkek is amazing. I am American and got a 45 day Tajik visa/GBAO permit in 5 minutes for 85$.

The embassy if ridiculously hard to find so a taxi from town may be the easiest option. When you see a giant comical yurt you are close.

Hi anitayusof,

Can I ask who informed you that the Bor Dobo border is closed to tourists? I find it unlikely, but I'm planning to cross there so need to find out. I'm searched around on the internet, but I can't find any information pertaining to a closure?

Thanks
