Hi all,
As the situation around Khorog appears set to remain tense for the coming weeks, I'm thinking of bypassing the city and the southern Pamirs by CYCLING through the BARTANG valley, from Rushan to Lake Karakol.
Does anyone have experience with that road?
I hear it's a rough 4WD road, so is it feasible by bike?
Is a special permit for Sarez necessary as long as I stick to the road in the valley?
Any other information concerning that road would be equally highly appreciated.
