Hello...I'd like to know the accomodations in Dushanbe those days, price or information about Vakhsh? Dushanbe hotel? adventure's inn ? any recommended home stay ? do you know places where it's possible to reserve by mail or phone( not sure to be well "repaired" when I'll leave for tajikistan in July, I had a small accident at the beginning of june). thanks, SBZ

Hi SBZ,

just staying in Vakhsh, wouldn't recommend it: ugly, devastated rooms, water outage, still no hot water after 3 days, etc.. However, price ok (25 USD dbl.), and central & nice location around.
Adventure Inn should now have free rooms as well (40 USD dbl), and also META homestay, quite close to Vakhsh hotel. Dont know about others.

Hi I stayed with a home stay in central dushanbe for 25 us a night for a room with breakfast sharing bathroom. The owner speaks a few words of english only, but goes out of her was to make you comfortable.Cafes, internet, taxis, supermarkets all very close by.

Flat is clean and homey but basic.

I've stayed in the Vakhsh Hotel 3 days (Jun 22 - 24, 2011).
The room is ok except no hot water. But the location is really good.
I paid 60tjs (about US$13) for a shared double.
