Hi . I've plan to make a 10-days trek i Kyrgistan 14-24 August with my 2 friends. We think about the trip through Sary Chelek from the South ( f.ex. Taskomur ) to Talas. Anyone know how we can achive Sary Chelek from Bishkek in short time? Is it any map of this region ( excluding military russian ) available?

Hi, I'm trying to find a driver to take me from Bishkek to Osh on Day 1, and from Osh/Dostuk to Tashkent on Day 2.

Could anyone please recommend me a Nice area to do 8-10 days of hiking in Kyrgyztan in beginning of August. I have done a lot of hiking, have my own tent and can cook for my self if necessary. I have sent Kyrgyz Commnity based Tourism an email as I would like to have a guide and maybe a horse, but not gotten any reply yet. Does anyone know how much one should expect to pay per day for an organized tour? Thanks a lot!
Hi - I'm planning a Silk Road trip. We'll be coming from Kashgar and finishing with the big cities in Uzbekistan. We will have about three weeks for Tajikistan/Kyrgyzstan. We would like to do some good hiking, lakes etc. My sense is that Kyrgyzstan is more accessible etc but that the Pamirs etc might be more spectacular. So I'm interested in getting opinions in which way is best (we'll be travelling the whole way by land so I don't think it's possible to go to both). Thanks!
Given that we won't find an oportunity to park our car in Bishkek (as posted here: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/forums/asia-central-asia/kyrgyzstan/one-year-parking-in-bishkek), we're looking for somebody that would like to make a trip, i.e. take our camping car from Bishkek to Osh (because we do have a parking in Osh) between the 22.7.2014 and 30.7.2014.

We're looking for a covered and safe place to leave our camping car in Bishkek for about a year, from 2014-07-30 to about 2015-08-30. It's a Fiat Ducato camping car, 2.2m wide, 6m long, 3.15m high.
Does anybody have any contacts that could provide us with such a parking?

Later this week, I'm planning on going from Taraz KZ to Talas KG, then from Talas to Osh. I'd like to do this in one single day, but I can't seem to find any information about Talas other than it's fairly easily accessible from Taraz.
Has anybody done this before. Where can I expect to go from Talas in one day? How about Jalalabad?
I don't particularly want to backtrack all the way to Bishkek.

The typical advice is to call the day before, but I see two recent reports on Caravanistan where people called on Monday afternoon and were given Wednesday appointments:

This is a couple of questions in one post - the first being: in early September we are being dropped in Naryn after staying in Tash Rabat and need to make our way to Cholpon Ata by the evening. Are we likely to find local buses/coaches on that route or is share taxi the most likely (probably with a change at Balykchy). Anyone one with recent costs for this?
The second question is: After Cholpon Ata we are heading to Karakol and wanted to go from there to Bishkek via the south side of the lake…
