You can get to Bishkek from Oz using Air Astana.
You get a cheap flight to Bangkok on Jetstar/Air Asia.
On Fridays there is a connecting flight from BKK on Air Astana to Biskek via Almaty.
You cannot book this on-line, but you can book via email to Air Astana. The full price is 105000 KZT

You can get KG visa on arrival.
You do not need KZ transit visa as you are just changing planes and are only in Almaty for a couple of hours

To get the Uzbek visa on arrival at Tashkent airport (land borders don't offer them) with an Australian passport you will need a letter of invitation and to travel directly from a country with no UZ consular presence. Because you are spending several weeks in KG, which does have UZ representation, you will need to apply for a visa prior to embarking for UZ.

I would like to fly or travel by bus to Osh from Kasghar.

I have only a single entry visa to china (am travelling from Australia and I have a malaysian passport.
Whats the best way to go about this?

Also where can i find cheap flights from Uruqmi/Kasghar to Osh?

dinduboy -- Buy a bus ticket to Osh from the international bus station in Kashgar, or ask one of the many travel services in Kashgar to buy the ticket for you. In this case, you will pay a small fee in addition to the ticket cost, but you won't have to stand in a queue.

There are no direct flights from Kashgar to Osh. Try China Southern Airlines for flights from Urumqi to Osh.

With a Malaysian passport, you can enjoy visa-free entry to KG for 30 days.
