Hi,
I'm thinking about cycling from Tajikistan on the Pamir Highway, and finishing in Osh, Kyrgystan, in June. The UK Foreign Office class the region (Oblast?) around Osh as a "no go" area at the moment (for all but essential travel). Has anyone travelled in that region recently? How is it? People on the ground might have a better idea.
Cheers

Hi ymrn,
when are you looking to travel that route? I was looking to do the same (Dushanbe to Osh) in Mid June/July this year but still a little concerned around security situation, also. Have written to the German embassy (i'm German) in Dushanbe for more info. Happy to share any info they might send back. Have you found anything else out?

All best,
F
