Hello,
We are two friends (female, 29 years old) travelling to Kyrgyzstan on the 24th of July and for two weeks. We want to split our time between visiting some places in the north of the country (Bishkek, Issyk Kul, Song Kul) and the south (Osh, Jalalabad, Fergana valley if we have time). We want to travel mostly independently but we would like to go on a tour to Song Kul because it seems complicated to travel there on our own.
Anyone interested in joining us? We are flexible on our dates and we would be happy to join a small group for a tour.
Thank you!

Hi,
I'd also be in Kyrgystan, arriving in Bishkek around the 2nd of August - so going to Song Kul wouldn't be possible for me earlier, but than I would be in.
What kind of tour do you plan? How many days? How to organize? I want to go to Issyk Kul after that.
Jörn

Hello Jörn,
We are now in contact with eco-tour (it is the only agency among those we contacted who replied to us with a concrete proposal and prices. They seem professional and with good reviews. You may want to check them out. There are other agencies though.) who suggested us to join a small group to Song Kul from the 31st to the 4th of August. So, that won't suit you but it is still not a final plan for us so I will let you know if we don't take that trip in the end. We decided to go to Song Kul with an agency instead of going there on our own because it seems a bit remote and we don't speak any Russian so it would be complicated.
But we want to go independently to Issyk Kul most probably from the 4th (or 5th if there are any unpredictable delays) of August to the 7th.In Issyk Kul we are thinking of doing a short trek (1-2 days max)and relax by the lake. We fly back home from Bishkek on the 8th.
Let's keep in touch. We would be happy to meet and travel with other travellers.

Hey,
I will arrive in Almaty on the 28th of July, so it wouldn't be a problem for me to be in Bishkek (does the tour start there?) on the 30. or the 31.of July. I didn't plan so much until now, so I would be happy to join a small tour for some days in the beginning of my travel.
I will check this agency. What was the price they told you for this trip (including transfer, housing)?

Hello,
The group starts in Bishkek on the 29th but I don't think we will join them from the beginning. First they will go on some hiking and horseriding in Temir-Kanat. The idea is that if we join them, they will pick us up on the 31st from Kochkor or Bokonbaevo and go to Song Kul. Then they can drop us off back to Kochkor or somewhere on the Issyk Kul. The quote we got is 200 Euro pp for the 31st to 4th including accomodation (yurt one night and then tents), all meals, guide/interpreter, transportation, taxes. I think it's a reasonable price given that it's a 4nights trip with everything included. You may contact them for more info and details. Maybe they can lower the price if another person joins, but I'm not sure for this.

I'm looking for travel mates for a three day trip to Song Kul from Bishkek (and returning back to Bishkek) from July 26-28. I'm a 28-year old American woman. I've done a little research on how to get to Song Kul and it seems we could hire a car for the weekend through CBT or take a bus/shared taxi to Kochkor and then hire a car from there.
Let me know if you're interested!
