Hi,
Apologies if these questions has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything in my research.
My friend and I are currently in Bishkek and are looking to travel to the Pamir mountains if we are able to get the GBAO permit (from which I understand there are some problems getting at the moment, so if anyone has any updates on that situation it would be appreciated). The ideal route would be from Osh to Khorog, but we would prefer if we could return to Osh and not have to go to Dushanbe, and also not have to repeat the tour we just did in terms of time and expense. I'm doubting if this is possible given the region, but thought it worth asking.
If we have no option but to go through Dushanbe, can anyone give me more information about getting from Khorog to Dushanbe? Preferably we would like to take the Tajik Air flight, but I don't seem to be able to book this online.
We have to return to Bishkek at the end of our trip, and we have a limited amount of time, so if anyone knows any cheap flight options or even some quick, cheap overland options it would be appreciated.
Thanks for any information and help to any of my questions in advance.
Matthew
p.s I apologise for posting this in three different "Central Asian" threads, but trying to cover all bases.
