We're looking for a covered and safe place to leave our camping car in Bishkek for about a year, from 2014-07-30 to about 2015-08-30. It's a Fiat Ducato camping car, 2.2m wide, 6m long, 3.15m high.

Does anybody have any contacts that could provide us with such a parking?

We are very grateful for pointers!

No suggestions or pointers, but some concerns...is your camping car already licensed for Kyrgystan? Can you arrange insurance for the vehicle during its storage. If it isn't licensed for Kyrgystan, won't you have problems with an out of date license when you use it again?

Thanks sfgirl42

We still have our Swiss license plate, so we should be able to drive it in Kyrgystan for one more year. And as I hear it's not a problem to leave the car in Kyrgystan this long.

That said, how would we go about licensing our car in Kyrgystan? Will we have to pay import toll? The car's worth is ~3000$ so paying lots of toll on it is not attractive. Do you have pointers to information about licensing and toll? It could be interesting for us to have a Kyrgyz license plate.

I'll see what I can find out, will let you know what I come across...I used to work for a car shipping company (in the US) and discovered in the smaller foreign countries the devil always in the details..hence my concerns...

I love blogs...sometimes they have great pictures and sometimes incredibly detailed useful information.
According to this blog (September of 2013) you have to get an import permit for the car, and for a specified amount of time....

I've signed up to follow their trips...great site!
