Is this still easy? What are current fees?

When I extended a 1-week visa into a 30-day visa back in 2008, some of the other Westerners in the queue had been in the country for months and were just coming into the OVIR office every 30 days for a new tourist visa extension. The clerks wanted you to write your own letter of introduction, but as long as you paid the fee they didn't seem to care who you were or what you were up to in Kyrgyzstan.

The currant rule is this:
you can extend your tourist visa for 2 times each of one month. That gives you a total of 3 month if you get a one month at the airport on arrival or at a Kyrgyz Embassy.
