Does anyone know if we can get screw-in gas canisters like Coleman or Kovea for a small camping stove, either in Bishek or elsewhere? Also is it possible to get methylated spirits anyone?

Yes, you can get screw in canisters at Red Fox. Last time I checked it was about $10/canister. I'm looking into importing them myself, but not sure if I'll succeed.
Not sure if it's actually the same as methylated spirits, but you can get 95-99% medicinal alcohol at the pharmacies pretty cheap. Just ask for "Medicinus Spiritus." I think it was about 50 som for 100 ml last time I bought some. I use it in the gas tank of my motorcycle in the winter if I get water in my gas.
