arriving in Los Angelos next week.will be there for a few days before making my way to san diego.2 questions. i need a hostel in LA, can anybody recommend? and from SD, can i do a day trip to mexcio? asregards ther hostel in LA, need airport pickup and a good location for doing the hollywood thing!

I stayed in a 'Y' 30 years ago on my first visit to the big apple.
Do they still offer accomodation ? Hotels in NYCity seem horrendously expensive and I will be visiting with my husband in mid May. We hope to stay 4 nights and then continue (by train ) to Baltimore. Suggestions appreciated for cheap, safe, clean places to stay for over 50s.

I'm going to spend a couple week in the Rockies, including the delightful and tiny Twin Lakes (near Buena Vista). My question is: where would you rather spend four days--Ouray or Estes Park? I know EP quite well, having been there several times. But I don't know Ouray, although friends of mine have been there and just love the place. My husband is undertaking a year-long inter-office transfer in Seattle in August this year.
