Hi

I going to Seattle the 17 of march - leaving 7th of april.

I´m just dying to se orcas/killerwhale. I know it might not be the best time of year, but it should be possibel.

Where shall I go (I have a car during me stay) for the best option? Any tour operators you can recommend?

Thank you.

I'm not sure about your question, but you might enjoy this link. Maybe you could call or email them and ask. They would surely know.

By the way, sometimes it's really cool to listen to them, as you probably know.

We took a Clipper Charter but that was in July. It was quite cold out on the sound even when it was in the 80s on shore so be prepared for it to be really cold on the water.

Here's their website.

You also might want to look at charter's out of Anacortes or the San Juans themselves.

You will need to go to the San Juan Islands, specifically, San Juan Island. Occasionally they wander further south toward Seattle but it's nothing you can count on, nor are there tour operators down here. But, I'm not sure if anyone is running tours in April, since most of the whales are only in the area for the summer. Look at the whale museum in Friday Harbor website and google San Juan Island whale watching, or something to that effect, to see what your options are. If there aren't any regular boats you may be able to do a kayak tour, or to just hang out at Lime Kiln Point State Park (good viewing there).
