Yes there is a 1 in 100 chance s/he will be stopped.

You keep saying this. Would you mind providing a source? Or is it something you made up for effect?

Some may exaggerate the dangers, but constantly saying there is a 99% chance they'll be fine regardless is underestimating the situation, imo, absent viable statistical evidence to the contrary.

But then you say you are done, so I guess I'll have to wait for the next thread for my answer (and hope I remember to ask).

The CBP does not keep statistics on the numbers of people who are admitted under the VWP without satisfying the requirements of the program. That is why I said originally the percentages our friend gave are non-quantifiable. CBP keeps statistics on the number of people admitted under the VWP program and the number of people who are denied entry.

Thnks for all the replies guys. I'll be giving it some serious thought. The other option, of course is to try and overland it all the way from South America to Canada. Anyone who has crossed the Darien Gap would you please get in touch!!!

Other than that, thanks again. Except for the guy who got on his high horse because I used the word "entitled". I'm not some sunburnt, string vest wearing British twat who waves his passport and demands his "rights". Any country that opens its doors to me, I humbly thank

Andy

COPA, the national airline of Panama, has direct flights from Bogata to Panama City.
