Hi,

I am seriously considering signing up for a TrekAmerica experience in the United States as a solo traveller. I have never been abroad alone before and was just wondering whether the company would make provisions for an autistic traveller.

For example, for nights out camping, would I have access to my own tent for an extra charge (similarly with lodging)

I have scoured the internet and cannot find an autistic person's experience of TrekAmerica anywhere.

Thank you

RPC, the best thing you can do is contact TrekAmerica yourself with your questions regarding the tours you're interested in and your special needs. I'm sure they'll do their best to work with you.

If it's anything like SunTrek, than it will be only one driver/guide/cook.

Therefore passengers/travellers have to be able to built their tent on their own (of course by helping each other), help cooking, help washing dishes and help loading the bus; if you're able to do all that, then no problem @rpctravel

They usually carry enough tents for a full bus load, so if the tour is not fully booked there will be some spare tents available; as it used to be on our trip...
