#9 - You are recommending that a person who is unfamiliar with Chicago to walk 1.1 miles west to the BLUE LINE on other side of the river in what most people not from Chicago would consider at best an EDGY neighborhood. I have done it several times and it is NOT the greatest walk and not one that I would send my wife (who is part pit-bull) alone.

If you are hard up to recommend a more direct route, at least have him catch the Rt 66 bus WEST on Chicago and transfer to the BLUE line when it gets to the intersection of Milwaukee and Chicago.

No, we said to take a cab. Where did you get walking from?
What are you talking about with that area being EDGY?
Again, we suggested taking a cab, but it is perfectly safe to walk. Where do you think it is edgy?
How long has it ben since you made that walk?

Yeah, just take the Red line (subway) south to State and Lake. Then walk west on Lake to Clark where you'll find the Blue line which goes to O'Hare.
