Nothing has been announced about the re-opening of highway 41 ( now open only from South Entrance to Wawona. Road remains closed between Wawona and Yosemite Valley), Glacier Point Road, and Bridalveil Campground. To see the Mariposa Grove right now, you have to leave the park & re-enter at the south entrance. The Merced Grove is currently closed.

Full containment of the fire is expected on Wednesday, August 22, however interior parts of the forest will continue to smolder and burn for some time, causing lingering smoke.

See fire safety closures here, for info on closed trails. There is a map showing closed roads & trails.

All of this is subject to change. It will get better as recovery form the Ferguson Fire happens, but, alas, there is always the next fire on the horizon.

You can call +1 209-372-0200 for information.

Checked the Ferguson Fire update website, and access from both west and east are open. Yosemite Valley is open.

From the website (Aug. 17, ’18):
“Yosemite Valley opened to visitors on August 14 at 9:00 AM. Wawona and Mariposa grove are open, but Glacier Point is not. Use extreme caution while driving, as firefighters are still working in the area.”
“ROAD CLOSURES:
All entrances to Yosemite National Park are open. Highways 120 and 140 are fully open. Highway 41 is closed to the public between Yosemite West and the Wawona Tunnel (open to residents, contractors, and those with reservations only). Glacier Point Road remains closed, along with the Bridalveil Creek Campground.”
