#7 and #9, you might want to wait until Thursday before making that recommendation...

Why buy Nets' tickets when Jason Kidd may not even be with the team in March? Besides, if the OP is staying in Manhattan, why would they want to make that trek out to the swamplands to sit in a sleepy and half empty arena? Madison Square Garden is still the "Mecca" of basketball and the Knicks are playing a better brand of ball than they have been in a long while.

Try stubhub.com. Craigslist.org or ebay is ok.

It is to New Yorkers and perhaps foreign visitors who don't know better. Neither team is playing well although considering their talent level the Knicks are overachieving. Good point about the transportation issues though.

Is there not a ticketmaster "will call" option or an internet email print ticket option? That's generally what I do for games at other arenas.

If you can extend your stay until the 28th, the Cavs will be in town. Might as well see Lebron James play if you have a chance; of course, these tickets are at a premium as he does well in the NY market.

Closer to game day, you can probably find tickets from season ticket holders unable to attend. Keep an eye out for "Flash Seats" via the teams website.

By the way, I'd much rather see a game at Madison Square Garden than Continental Airlines Arena.
