Hi there everyone,

My wife and I have just booked a 10 day holiday to Hawaii with our 18month old son. We will stay somewhere on Oahu, probably Waikiki.

Just looking for accommodation recommendations really. We would like to try and avoid small pokey hotel rooms as it makes it hard when he goes to sleep early and we are crammed in a hotel room in the dark. A hotel room that has a bit more space would be ok.

We would consider booking an air bnb but don’t know how that would go, best locations etc..

It would be nice to be able to have access to a pool during the day and a kitchen / kitchenette would also be handy so we can eat in some nights where eating out is just too hard.

Our budget is between $300 - $400 NZD per night ($210 - $280 USD).

Also if you have any other advice for us in regards to travel with a toddler in Hawaii, things to go, family friendly eating spots etc that would be great.

Thanks,
Josh

Maybe look at the Ilikai condos, they mostly fall within your budget and are by the marina. Popular with Australians.

Expedia would be a start.

Have you thought about Maui at all? Much easier to get around with small children. Bigger resorts and you don't have to get in the car as much to get somewhere cool and way less stressful.

Oahu is really cool, but it is a lot of car travel to get out of the main hotel area Waikiki. The kids will like the zoo though.
