It might be wise to check for any wildfires before travelling to the Rocky Mts. or the Southwest this summer. For example, San Juan National Forest near Durango, CO is closed due to a wildfire and tinderbox conditions. A wildfire in Moab, UT just destroyed several houses. There is also a wildfire in Medicine Bow National Forest in southern Wyoming close to the Colorado border. There is an exceptional drought in these regions.
