Was wondering if people had any recent experiences/ recommendations of the Spanish language schools in Merida?

Looking to do a one week course with preferably, morning lessons.

Has anyone been to the Iowa Institute?

How easy is it to change money on los roques, should I change money at caracas airport before going to los roques or will it be easy enough to change money on the islands. Should I expect to get a better rate at the airport or at los roques.

Can anyone recommend a company that runs 3/4-day tours to the Gran Sabana departing from Pto Ordaz? What are the sites in this area that I shouldn't miss (apart from Mt Roraima, which I intend to climb anyway)?

We are planning on staying at one of the hotels near the airport (maybe Hotel Catimar) when we arrive in Caracas. The following day we would like to travel to Choroni/Puerto Colombia. My question is, do we have to travel into Caracas to catch a bus to Choroni or is it possible to catch a bus from the airport area (is it Catia del Mar?)? Have tried contacting the airport hotels about this but no reply..

I am aware that you can organise a taxi from airport to Choroni but this is a bit pricey…

Hi, I ned some help on flight times from caracas to los roques. My flight arrives in to caracas about 07:30. i'm afraid I won't make the 0830 flight to los roques. I was told the next flight is 16:00 is this corrert. Are there any morning flights to los roques after 0830.

Any experience with Santa Barbara Airlines on the route Caracas-Quito?

They are so much cheaper than Avianca and it would be a shorter flight
