Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Venezuela this summer. Now I've heard about political disturbances. Has anyone been there during the last few months and can tell me about it?

Thanks a lot

Nina

Hola Nina,

Haven't heard of any major political disturbances. A few protests here and there, but that's our everyday bread and butter. Other than that all quiet on the Venezuelan front.

Travel safe,

All the best,

Hello Nina,

As Thomas replied, there haven't been major political disturbances tourists should be afraid of lately. Occasional bursts, but that's all. However, the weather hasn't been so nice and rain is wreaking havoc in some cities (such as Caracas) and towns even to point of leaving entire communities isolated due to the collapse of avenues, bridges and so on.

When traveling around Venezuela, take usual precautions.

Luis
