could someone who is knowledgable about margarita island hotels, recommend a budget(meaning lowest price possible) hotel or a hostel on the island?
Airconditioning is a must however. I will be there for 2 weeks.

i am a tourist guide in margarita island.First i will like to let you know that the month of July here is summer break. For that reason hotels owners try to increase their prices so as to make some profit.Ok for a good and cheap hotel with good service and friendly staff is at the beach side of margarita island the hotel is called HOTEL LAS PALMERAS . The hotels and posadas close to playa el Agua are quite nice, close to the beach and pretty tourist friendly. There is a budget posada in this area: residencias Vacacionales de la Sra. Sotillo. Next to them and slightly more expensive are the Chalets de Belen. However, if you want something budget you could try looking up Hotel Patrick in Juangriego. Bear in mind that you would have to get your own food and drinks. There are some places in Playa El Agua that will include all your meals and even some drinks for you, such as Miramar Village.
