Hello All,

I'm a US researcher traveling to Caracas in early June; staying at least 4 weeks. I need help finding reasonably safe and affordable housing (I was thinking Altamira or Saba Grande but am open to any suggestions). I've looked online and in the paper to no avail. Does anyone have any advice about securing short-term housing in the city and/or contact info for nice people willing to rent a room to an equally nice young lady?

Thanks in advance,
Seneca

Hola Seneca,

I don't know about Sabana Grande being a safe area ;-) Altamira definitely safer. I may be able to help. Let me know.

All the best,

Hi

At the Hotel Montserat in Altemira the guy is verry helpfull, he knows a woman that is looking to Rent a room in Chacao but it may be not so cost effective if your on a budget.
I believe she is asking something like 200bvf a day but at least its a safe area, and if you do an exchange of 4.5 to 1 on the American dollar it becomes less expensive.

Send me a pm if you wish to have the details and I will have my partner Reyna look into it for you, its no problem she is frequently in the area with her family and work.

Regards Rob
