Im headed to Angel Falls in two weeks from Manaus. Its been raining like crazy here. Can anyone tell me what it has been like in that area. I just wondered if it has been very dry or wet.

Thanks,

Hey, question about visiting the Angel Falls.
Is plane the only way how to see the falls or is it also possible to hike to the falls or go by boat? And how expensive it might be to hike or boat to the falls?
Thanks in advance for the answerers.

Flight is only way to reach Canaima. From Canaima you can flight to angel falls or take a boat trip to falls (much more interesting). if you choose boat trip, you can come close to salto angel, in this case you have to hike (about an hour) from the river. A week ago 3 day tour to Canaima cost 1400 BvF. (including return flight to canaima from SB, accomodation ant meal).

Hello Delmar Williams,

It's currently been raining like crazy in Venezuela too. You should have no problem at all with reaching the falls by "curiara" (indigenenous dug out canoe) from the Pemon Village of Canaima. As mentioned above the only way of reaching the Pemon Village of Canaima is by flying out of Ciudad Bolivar or Puerto Ordaz. Well worth it! As for the price, it all depends on your type of accomodation.

Travel safe!

All the best,
