After 6 days of Roraima trekking , it is very relaxing to spend one full day under waterfalls of Gran Sabana which have natural swimming pools, you can take a refreshing shower or seat at natural jacuzzi between rocks like in a bath. So this is a great massage for your muscles after the effort. Also this is an opportunity to taste typical Taurepanes Indian food with cumache (made from aints or termits) and casabe made from yuka, see the handcrafts made by Indians. Worthy to look around...

Most people would vote for Roraima, as it is unique.I didn't go there cause I didn't consider myself fit enough but instead did the Gran Sabana tour, which was fabulous. We had a guide, Jonathan, who is now working for Aukatravel.com and he's great! And yes, it's recommendable spending a day in the gran sabana after trekking long long time to Roraima. I have however heard the biggest part of the trek is plain boring, that is, getting from A (the road) to B (Roraima's roots) as it's just plains and the only interesting thing you see in front of you is Roraima and Kukenan tepuis getting closer by the day and then a long walk back the same way from B to A.
But if you feel like getting up and close with a tepui, you could do a 3 day tour to Canaima national park visiting Angel Falls (IT IS A MUST!!) It is so freakin awesome and stunning, I have travelled a lot but this area beats everything. Sapito Tours was brilliant and got the best camp in Angel Falls, you wake up and the first thing you see stepping out of your hammock is the falls! Woowwww.
Well it all depends what you want to do. If you are into trekking then Roraima would be a great choice. If you are not, and want to enjoy some small walks and visit some truly amazing sites then the Gran Sabana would be a great option. Please bear in min that Roraima is located in the Gran Sabana which at the same time belongs to the Parque Nacional Canaima, therefore on the way to Roraima you would be definitely getting a close look at other plateus such as the infamous Kukenan Tepui.
All the best,
Thomas
